Why You Should Buy Matching Bra and Underwear Sets

In advertising and the media bras and knickers are always matching. There has to be a reason for this. Is it some perfect standard that most normal women with busy lives can't keep up to? French women would rather die than be found in bras and knickers that do not match. There seems to be more complexity in this issue though which seems to depend on the following factors:
Who is buying it?
What occasion it is for?
Cost of the underwear?
Outer garment consideration?
I have had matching underwear for various events in my life, for example when buying sexy underwear and every woman over the age of 18 has a little matching black frilly ensemble. When buying wedding underwear of course they have to match and are usually beautiful, cream, lacy, romantic lingerie. When I am running or exercising at the gym I wear a sports bra and some sports underwear that are breathable. So do we need a special occasion to justify matching bra and knickers or do everyday women wear them as a matter of course?
I decided to do some very informal research on my girlfriends and they all own one pair of matching underwear that they keep for special occasions. They have been bought as either a treat to themselves or have been bought as a present from a husband. I started thinking about the reasons why we wear unmatched underwear and why we are not more concerned about the pitfalls. There are the fears that if I'm in an accident and end up in casualty what people will think if I'm not in matching bras and pants and will that make me less of a person. There is the fear of communal changing rooms and if you have to disrobe does that deserve scornful looks from other shoppers.
My view is that underwear says a lot about how a woman values herself and how strong her self-esteem is. If you think you're worth it, love your body and have a great self-image then you wear matching bras and panties. They make the effort to match them when putting away in drawers. This means that even with a busy life they do not have to frantically search. They coordinate them with the same care afforded to their outer garments and it matters to them that their underwear does match.
I found that my girlfriends who did have matching bras and underwear have better marriages and it could be related to the fact that their husbands found them attractive and desired them. I asked my husband his thoughts on this theory and he had a strange facial expression which seemed like trapped wind and made no response.
I am going to change and become one of these females with matching underwear so stage one of the transformation is to throw out my large white underwear that resembles my mother's ensemble. I have thrown out my black frilly ones that have been worn once and lurked at the back of the knickers' drawer. I researched on line the best sites that were simple, practical and cost effective. I ordered some from Tesco and some from Littlewoods. I now have beautifully folded matching sets for each day of the week and one for special occasions because I'm worth it.
